In 2002, Edinburgh University underwent a major structural change. Its nine Faculties were reconstituted as three Colleges, while Departments were reorganised and replaced by Schools.

Humanities and Social Science

Following merger between Edinburgh College of Art and Edinburgh University in 2011, the School of Arts, Culture and Environment was subsumed within an enlarged Edinburgh College of Art.
