Robert Schlapp (1899-1991) worked as an Assistant in Natural Philosophy, Lecturer in Applied Mathematics, and Senior Lecturer in Mathematical Physics at Edinburgh University. Schlapp married Mary Fleure in 1940; they had two daughters.
