Lauriston William Sharp

at Gen. 2157 consist of printed material such as journals and sheets; numerous bundles of scholarly notes on writers both in manuscript and typescript; notebooks; library notes and card indexes; and, other miscellaneous papers. At Dk.1.29 there are Sharp's notes and miscellaneous items on James Kirkwood (circa 1650-1708) who worked on the establishment of libraries in Scotland, and at Dk.7.51 typescript and notes on Charles Mackie (1688-1770) the first Professor of History at Edinburgh University. There are also notes covering the period 1945 to 1959 and miscellaneous papers from 1940- to 1959 on librarianship and the collections at at Dk.8.28-29.
