John Stewart (1712-1759)

John Stewart (1712-1715) succeeded his father Robert Stewart (1675–1758) as Professor of Natural Philosophy at Edinburgh University in 1742. On his death in 1759, he was succeeded by Adam Ferguson (1723-1816).
