John Gordon (1715-1775) shared the Chair of Universal Civil History and Greek and Roman Antiquities with Charles Mackie (1688-1770) from 26 December 1753 to 4 December 1754. He was succeeded by William Wallace (d. 1786) on 23 December 1754.
