The Morrison Chair of International Business was endowed in 1972 by the Jack and Michael Morrison Charitable Foundation. The endowment was made to commemorate the 70th birthday of Jack Morrison, chairman of Cedar Holdings Ltd. The first holder of the post, from 1973 to 1999, was Simon Coke. He was succeeded by Volker Mahnke (1967-2012). Originally part of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Chair is now situated within the Business School in the College of Humanities and Social Science. In 2016 it was renamed the Morrison Chair of Global Creative Enterprise.
