George Drummond (1688-1766) served six times as Lord Provost of Edinburgh between 1725 and 1766. He played a vital role in the Foundation of the Faculty of Medicine and in turning the 'Tounis College' into an Enlightenment university. This collection (GB 237 Coll-728) consists of his diaries for 1736-1738 in two volumes (Dc.1.82-83).
